Mrs. E.E. Todd Passed Away on Monday

Former Onawa Lady Died At Her Home In Inglewood, Calif. After Long Illness

Body to Be Returned to her old Home at Melborne, Iowa where Funeral Services will be Held on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Mrs. C.W. Young, a close friend of Mrs. E.E. Todd received word on Tuesday morning that Mrs. Todd had passed away on Monday evening, October 16, 1950, after an illness extending over a period of eight months.

The word came to Mrs. Young from a niece who resides at Marshalltown, Iowa, the information that Mrs. Young received stated that the body of Mrs. Todd would arrive in Marshalltown on Friday and that the funeral would be held at Mrs. Todd’s old home at Melborne, Iowa.

Lora B. Ferris and Emery Todd were married on June 17, 1940 at Iowa City, Iowa, the Rev Lew C. Harris a former pastor of the Onawa Christian church performing the wedding ceremony.

Mrs. Todd was a women of sterling character, an enthusiastic church worker and of the Eastern Star. Her many fine qualities will be remembered and cherished by the hundreds of friends she made the short time she was a resident of Onawa. Her death comes as a shock to her friends and old neighbors and their sincere sympathy goes out to her bereaved husband and her daughters.
Mrs. Todd was a little over seventy years of age.
Besides her husband Emery E. Todd, she is survived by two daughters Beth and Maxine, besides two step-children, Mrs. Leff and Everett Todd.

Funeral services for Mrs. Todd will be held at Milbourne, Iowa on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
