Mrs, Curt Anderson 1882- 1946

Mrs. Mary Moravek Anderson was born February 6, 1882 in Chicago, Illinois and passed from this life at Onawa, Iowa at the age of 64 years, 9 month and 27 days.

On March 17, 1903, she was united in marriage with O.R.(Curt) Anderson at Harrison, Nebraska, to this union was born five children, three daughters and two sons. Mrs. Lucille Anderson, Mrs. John Paine, and Mrs. Van Quackenbush all of Onawa; Antone of Whiting and Joseph.

Mrs. Anderson was a resident of this community about 36 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Her passing came after an extended illness, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rest has come to a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother and a true friend.

Those who survive are her husband, five children, five grandchildren; George, Robert, Mary Kaye, Darrell and Dixie.

One brother Henry Moravek of Sioux City; 3 sisters, Mrs. G. M. Lacy, Harrison, Nebraska; Mrs. Floyd Jones and Miss Ann Moravek of Neeteese, Wyoming. A number of other relatives and a host of friends. Her father, mother and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 6, at 2 p.m. at the Pearson Chapel with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Mrs. David Gray and Mrs. Cutler Croker sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "God Will Take Care of You", accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Ilene McNeill. Pallbearers were Cecil Utsman, Ed Morton, Pete Johnson, Henry Roelsgard, Henry Lee and Chris Westergaard. Interment was in the Harrison Cemetery at Whiting.
