Kathleen Dawn Peterson, the wife of Daniel Peterson, a resident of Turin, Iowa for the past four years, died Saturday, Dec. 16th, 1978. Death came unexpectedly at a Sioux City Hospital after a few hours of illness.

Kathleen was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Easton Bearce and was born on July 20, 1954at Onawa. She was united in marriage to Daniel V. Peterson on June 8, 1974 at Onawa, Iowa.

Kathleen was a graduate of the West Monona Schools and had one year of student nursing training at St. Luke's Hospital. At the time of her death, she was an employee of the Onawa Sentinel newspaper. She was a member of the UCC Congregational Church in Onawa.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel, parents, Mr. & Mrs. Easton Bearce of Whiting, one sister, Mrs. John (Nancy) Flemming of Gilbert, Iowa; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Harry Collett, Onawa; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Joseph Kirk, Onawa and grandfather Robert Bearce of Whiting; paternal great grandmother, Mrs. John Durr of Onawa. Also surviving are Mr. & Mrs. Verl C. Peterson and Jacqueline of Turin, Mr. & Mrs. Nels Peterson of Turin and Mr. A.L. Ament of Cherokee, Iowa; other relatives and a host of friends. Kathleen was a kind and friendly person, one who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Serivces were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, 1978 at the UCC Congregational Church of Onawa with Rev. William Bessmer officiating. The organist, Mrs. William Bessmer, played the selections "Morning Has Broken" and "O Got Our Help in Ages Past".

Interment was in Belvidere Cemetery of Turin, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home.
