Laura J. Stanislav, 31, of rural Little Sioux died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1988, in a hospital in Onawa after a long illness.
Services will be at 2 pm Saturday at the First Christian Church in Onawa with the Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 am today with a prayer service at 7:30 pm in the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.
Mrs. Stanislav, the former Laura J. Jackson, was born Aug. 25, 1956, in Onawa and graduated from West Monona High School in 1974. She attended the Spencer (Iowa) School of Business and Nebraska Christian College at Norfolk. On March 12, 1977, she married Bernard Stanislav in Onawa. She was employed at Farmland Industries in Salix, Midwest Abuse Center in Onawa and currently with W.P. Garred Medical Clinic in Onawa.
Mrs. Stanislav was a member o the First Christian Church where she was active in youth groups, taught Bible school and was a chair member.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kari Jo and a son, Byron, both at home; her parents, Joe and Dorothy Jackson of Onawa and maternal grandparents, Wayne and Ellen Samson of Onawa.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Milton and Romaine Jackson.
