Mrs. Lester Kepner,75, of Onawa, died Wednesday in a nursing home at Whiting.

Services will be at 2 pm Friday in the Pearson Funeral Home at Onawa. The Revs. Duane Lundberg and Everette Epperson will officiate. Burial will be at the St. Clair Cemetery at Ute. There will be a prayer serivce at 7 pm today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kepner, the former Daisy E. Gries, was born Dec. 19, 1906, at Harlan.

She married Lester Kepner Nov. 21, 1923 at Onawa. She was an LPN at the Onawa Hospital and Burgess Memorial Hospital at Onawa until retiring because of poor health in 1980. She had been a resident of Onawa for 52 years.

Mrs. Kepner was a member of the Golden Age Club, Elise Rebekah Lodge 222 and the Evangelical Free Church at Onawa.

Survivers include two daughters, Mrs. John (Viola) Sheldon of Wichita, Kan. and Mrs. Allan (Carole) Larsen of Moorehead; three sons, Lester V. of St. Joseph, MO., Kenneth of Rushville, Mo. and Donald of Sioux City; four brothers, Charles of Sioux City, Clarence of Mapleton, Harold of Pierre, S.D., and Melvin of Boone; three sisters, Mrs. Forrest (Blossom) Payne of Blencoe, Mrs. Adolph (Florence) Arp and Mrs. Faye (Evelyn) Golden, both of Sioux City; 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and two grest-great-grandchildren.
