Frank H. Sigler was born March 27, 1884 at Missouri Valley and passed from this life in the Methodist hospital in Sioux City on April 30. Death came at the age of 81 years, one month and three days.
September 11, 1907 he was united in marriage with Laura Allen at Missouri Valley. To this union two sons and a daughter were born.
Frank served on the Onawa police force from February, 1931 to January 1, 1964. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Missouri Valley and a 58 year member of the Valley Lodge A.F. and A.M. No. 232 at Missouri Valley.
Survivors include his wife, Laura of Onawa; two sons, Maurice of Lincoln, Neb. and Myron of Denver, Colo; a daughter, Marguerite Less of Omaha, Neb; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, three brothers, William of Kansas City; Peter of Council Bluffs, and Manuel of Modale; and a sister, Mrs. Grace Coddington of Missouri Valley.
The funeral service was held at 11 am Monday; May 3 at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa. Rev. Everett Epperson officiated at the service. Mrs. Willie Jensen sang "Good Night and Good Morning" and "The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Oliver Kelley.
Casket bearers were Robert Belllis, James Conway, James Collison, Jess Ooten, E.C. Myrland and Edger Thogersen. Interment was at the Onawa Cemetery.
