William Steele

William Steele, son of William and Mary Steele, was born February 24, 1872 at Council Bluffs, Iowa, and died at the Onawa hospital June 8, 1931 age 59 years, 3 months and 14 days.
In 1906 he was united in marriage to Myrtle Leach. To this union four children were born Mrs. Glen Edwards of Vale, S.D. Edward of Sioux City, Elmer and Alfred at home.
Besides his wife and children he is survived by two brothers, Jim of Ute Iowa and John of Council Bluffs. Four sisters Mrs. John Outmoshover, Mrs. John Thomas of Mapleton, Iowa. Mrs. Edward Gladden of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Lucy Robinson.. Also two grandchildren.
For some time he had made his home in Mapleton, Iowa and for the past ten years has resided near Onawa.
Funeral services were conducted at the Brown Funeral Home by Rev. Orval E. Walker at two o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial was made in the Onawa cemetery.
