Old Settler DiesGeorge Leech Buried Friday in Mt. Hope Cemetery Was Recently Living Near Hornick
George Leech, pioneer settler and for many years a resident of this section died at the family home near Hornick last Wednesday from the ills incident to age.
Mr. Leech was 68 years of age and had lived all his life with the exception of a few years spent in the south in this vicinity. His father came here in the early days and settled south of town. It was after him that Leech Hollow was named. The father is also remembered here as being one of the earliest justices of the peace in this section. Mr. Leech’s death was quite sudden and unexpected. He leaves two sons and two daughters. Walter and Willard and one daughter at home and Mrs. H. O Greenough.
