dated March 4, 2001:“ MOORHEAD, Iowa - Mildred Irene Andrews, 92,of Moorhead died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa with the Rev. John Eilers officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery in Moorhead. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Andrews was born May 30, 1908,in Willow Township near Moorhead, the daughter of Adolph and Lena (Evenson) Melby. She married Richard Andrews and they farmed near Moorhead. He died July 7, 1982.
She was a member of Soldier Lutheran Church.
Survivors include five sons, Howard and his wife, Deloris of Brush, Colo., Bernard of Council Bluffs, Darrell and his wife, Beverly, Glen and his wife, Emogene,and Robert, all of Moorhead; three daughters, Dorothy and her husband, Lyle Babe of Oklahoma City, Okla., Janice and her husband, Art Massie, and Carol Michael, all of Council Bluffs; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold and his wife, Vesta Melby of Soldier, and Dale Melby of Woodbine, Iowa; three sisters, Lorraine Price and Agnes Weber, both of Dunlap, Iowa, and Edna Hull of Moorhead.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Leonard and Willard; and a sister, Gilma Burson Kline.
Pallbearers will be Vernon, Chip and Jeff Andrews, David Michael, Randy Massie and Larry Moore.”
