Gladys Lillian Seaman Johnson Mann, the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Fletcher) Seaman was born Oct. 2, 1917, at Whiting, Iowa and passed from this life near Onawa, Iowa on Jan. 12, 1966 at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 11 days. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Irvin Mann on Jan. 11, 1940 at Papillion, Ne. and had resided in the Moorhead, Iowa area for the past 25 years. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving Mrs. Mann are a daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Jerry (Sandra) Richardson of Magnolia, Iowa; her mother, Mrs. Mabel Seaman Benner of Whiting, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Julia Hidde of Buena Park, Calif.;and a brother, Merle Seaman of Ione, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Seaman.
Lloyd Irvin Mann, the son of Earl and Leala Mann, was born on Jan. 26, 1913 at Moorhead, Iowa and passed from this life near Onawa, Iowa on Jan. 12, 1966 at the age of 52 years, 11 months and 17 days. Mr. Mann was a farmer and had engaged in the trucking business. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Moorhead.
Mr. Mann;s survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard Hedrick of Minden, Ia; two sons, Robert L. Mann of Waukesha, Wisconsin and John R. Mann of Omaha, NE; three sisters, Mrs. Jack Johnson of Onawa, Mrs. Daryl Glasser of Fort Collins, Co and Mrs. William Pounds of La Habra, Calif; two brothers, Lynn C. Mann of Pisgah, Iowa, and Clint Mann of Sioux City, Iowa. Mr. Mann was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Leala Mann.
Survivors of both Mr. and Mrs. Mann include two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Nancy) Clark of Pisgah, Ia, and Debra of Moorhead; three sons, Stanley Charles Mann of San Diego, Ca, Michael Allen Mann and Earl Jefferson, both of Moorhead; and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 1966 at the Christian Church in Moorhead with Elders C. Houston Hobart and Frances Hathaway officiating. Mrs. Wayne Outhouse was the organist and Magnus Jepson sang "There Will Be No Tears In Heaven" and "The Lord Knows Why", accompanied by Mrs. Magnus Jepson. Bearers were James Bryceson, Jack White, David Archer, Dale Welliver, William Hinkel, Walter Johnson, E. W. McCall, Bernard Andrews, Earl Rustin, Earl Ballantyne, Herbert Clark and James Kalskett. Interment was in the Spring Valley Cemetery at Moorhead under direction of the Pearson Funeral Home.
