Death of Mrs. Henry Lord

Harriett Vowles was born in the year 1857 at Draycott, Somersetshire County, England, and departed this life at her home in Jordan Township, Monona County, Iowa, Sunday morning, December 2, 1906. In 1884 she was married to Henry Lord, with whom she came to this country in 1889. To this union was born two daughters and one son, they being Mrs. George Stillman and Mrs. E.G. Durston, the son having died in infancy. A sister in this county, Mrs. James Masters, and two sisters and a brother in England are with the husband also left to mourn her death. She was a kind and loving mother, respected by all who knew her.
