The death of Mrs. John Herrington whose maiden name was Mahala V. Koker, occurred January 18, 1907, from apoplexy. She was stricken several weeks before her death but made a temporary rally. The deceased was born July 16, 1855 in Ogle County, Illinois and was married to John Herrington, October 21, 1869. She was the mother of nine children, six of whom survive her, with her husband, two brothers, three sisters and an aged mother.

The funeral services were held from the home Monday in charge of Rev. Pittinger and were largely attended by the friends of the family which is one of the best known in the community. The interment was in the Heisler cemetery southwest of Danbury. Danbury Review.
