At 8 o’clock on Monday morning of this week death closed the eyes of Mrs. O.E. Addington at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McCleerey, in Center Township, and she entered upon her long sleep.

Daisy McCleerey was twenty-nine years of age upon the day of her funeral, having been born near this place Feb. 5, 1878, and grew to womanhood in this vicinity. Her marriage to O.E. Addington was followed by the birth of two children, who with the husband survived her, living in Sioux City. She was a devoted mother, and a kind Christian women. When the dread disease consumption fastened itself upon her in its last stages she was brought from Sioux City to the home of her parents, knowing that she had but a short time to live.

Rev. J.M. Turner conducted the funeral services from the Presbyterian church on Tuesday afternoon, the interment taking place at Heisler cemetery.
