Nelle M Gray Passes Away December 18

Nelle M Gray was born on April 12, 1900 at Albia, Iowa and passed from this life in her home in Onawa, Iowa on December 18. Death came quickly, she had reached the age of 62 years.
Nelle came to Onawa in 1927 living here until 1932, after 10 years spent away from Onawa, she returned in 1942 and has since that time made her home here. She operated a hat shop in Onawa for some time and then was employed by the Monona Hotel as housekeeper.

She was an active member of the First Christian Church of Onawa. Her many friends admired her for her dependability and always knew that when she was given a job to do, she worked until it was finished. She was in every way a good christian women.

Survivors are her one brother-Harry Gray of Dallas, Texas, one nephew-Harry Jr also of Dallas, Texas and one niece-Shirley Gray who is teaching school in Madrid, Spain.
Memorial services were help on Thursday December 20 at 2 p.m. at the Pearson Funeral Chapel with Rev EE Epperson officiating. Mrs Orland Ferris sang "Near To The Heart of God" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" accompanied by Mrs Carl Linden at the organ.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. December 21 at Albia, Iowa with Rev Everett Epperson officiating. Organist was Mrs Vera Klingensmith. Interment was the Pleasant Divide Cemetery at Albia.
