Mrs. Frances M Fletcher Is DeadFrances M., daughter of John and Margaret Butler was born at Stoffa Perth County, Canada, October 26, 1853 and passed away at the home of her niece, Mrs. Lloyd Swain in Pisgah, Ia, December 13, 1937 at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 17 days.
At the age of thirteen she came with her family to the United States where they located on a farm near Onawa.
In 1876 she was united in marriage to William Fletcher of Omaha, who was engaged in the ice and livery business there. From there they moved to Custer, S.D. where they made their home for thirty-five years. They gave up their home there and came back to Onawa to care for her invalid mother while she lived.
Her husband died in 1916. She had two sisters, Mary, Mrs. Margaret Perrin, Two brothers John and James who preceded her in death. For the past twelve years she has made her home with her niece, Mrs. Lloyd Swain of Pisgah, Iowa.
She leaves to mourn her loss five nieces, Mrs. Arnot Arndt, Mrs. Lloyd Swain, Mrs. Harry Swain, Mrs. Fred Wall, Mrs. Jno Sherman and three nephews, Wayne Butler, Chauncey Perrin and David Perrin and a host of friends.
The Gamet Funeral Service had charge of the services being held at the Pisgah Methodist church on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. McAninch officiating. Burial at Preparation Cemetery.
