Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Davis, 45, of this city will be held Sunday at Ute, Ia, with Rev. Orval Walker officiating and the Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Davis passed away Wednesday noon following a short illness. She is survived by four sons; Edward of Long Beach, Calif., Phillip of Turin, Dwight and Lynn of Onawa and three daughters, Lucille of Turin, Leona and Esther of Onawa, besides a host of relatives and friends.

Pearl Fanchion Kelley was born on the farm near Ute, Iowa on July 21, 1885 and departed this life at the Onawa Hospital on April 22, 1931 after a very brief illness during which everything possible to relieve her suffering was done.

She grew to womanhood in the vicinity of Ute and on April 15, 1905, she was united in marriage to Charles H. Davis of Ute. To this union was born Edward of Long Beach, Calif, Mrs. Lucille Struble of Castana and Phillip of Turin. Dwight, Leona, Esther and Lynn wo are in the home at Onawa with their father. The family came to Onawa March 1 to make their home.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death her loving husband, seven children, three grandchildren, her father J.W. Kelley of Sioux City, four brothers, Clay and Cecil of Sioux City, Raleigh of Ute and Ellis of Danbury; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Davis and Mrs. June Wiltsey both of Minneapolis, Minn.

Mrs. Davis' kind and loving disposition endeared her to a host of friends. Her character was best expressed in that she had not a selfish thought and willingly sacrificed for those in need. She never failed to help her family, friends or anyone with the courage and cheerful service that was hers to give in time of sickness or sorrow..Her life proved a blessing to all that knew her.
