Edward Franklin Fletcher was born in Green County, Iowa, February 23, 1865 and died at Whiting, Iowa, April 13, 1936, at the time of his death being 71 years 1 month and 21 days old.
Mr. Fletcher was a pioneer citizen of the county living on the same farm for over forty years.
Over forty-five years ago, he married Miss Phania Anderson, who preceded him in death on January 16, 1931.
To this union were born four sons and seven daughters: Mrs. Charles (Mabel) Seaman of Sloan, Ia, Mrs. Raymond (Florence) Polly, Mrs. Fred (Goldie) Gulick, Mrs. Sidney (Gladys) Gulick, Glenn, Dorris and Mrs. Robert (Alta) Crawford all of Whiting, Iowa, Mrs. Wayne (Bonnie) Wilson of Huron, S.D., Park of Anthon, IA and Mrs. Frank (Lydia) Katzenberger of Columbia, Missouri.
He is survived also by twenty-one grand-children and five great grand-children.
Funeral services were held in the Community Building not far from Whiting, IA. M.C. MIller, pastor of Sloan-Whiting Christian Churches was the officiating minister. Burial too place in the Harrison Cemetery, Monona County, IA
