Westbrook, Mrs. Alice Hong ~ 1978

Mrs. Alice Hong Westbrook of Santa Barbara, Calif., died December 26, 1978. She was born May 3, 1893 at Soldier, Iowa, to Engebret Hong and Turi Erickson Hong.

She grew up in the Soldier and Ute communities. She attended the the(sic) University of Northern Iowa, U.C.L.A. and San Jose Normal School in California. She taught school several years prior to her marriage to Virgil Westbrook.

Born to their union were two sons, Kermit and A. Grant.

Her husband preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Westbrook were held at the Church of the Flowers at Glendale, Calif., and interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale.

Included among the many who mourn her passing is her sister, Anna Hong, 3775 Modoc Road, Santa Barbara, Calif. 93105.
