Whitney, Lois A. Ulven ~ 1978

Services for Lois Arlene Whitney, 47, Oxnard, were held Friday at 7 in the Ted Mayr Loma Vista Chapel. Saturday servies were held at 2:30 p.m. at the Rose Hills Memorial Chapel, Rose Hills, Memorial Park, Whittier, with the Rev. Don Stevens of Eastminister Presbyterian Church officiating.

Mrs. Whitney, who was a pre-school teacher at the Oxnard United Methodist Church Pre-School, died Wednesday after the crash of an automobile through the window of the classroom where she was teaching. Mrs. Whitney was born December 24, 1930, in Soldier. She was a county resident for the past year, coming from Fullerton.

She is survived by her husband Frank; daughters Kay Bond and Joni W. Hanson, both of San Clemente; mother Mary Ulven of Paulina, and Orvan Ulven of Soldier; sister Shirley Aronson of Fort Collins, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the Lois Whitney Pre-School Memorial Fund, in care of the Eastminister Presbyterian Church 8180 Telephone Road, Ventura.

Attending were Mrs. Mary Ulven and Mr. And Mrs. Orvan Ulven of Soldier, Marvin Ulven of Paullina and Mr. And Mrs. Bob Aronson of Ft. Collins, Colo.
