McIntyre, Luella, Mrs.
Funeral Rites Held Dec. 11

Luella G. Wilson, daughter of Levi and Sarah Jackson Wilson, was born at Galland's Grove, Iowa, Dec. 8, 1865. She passed away December 9, 1944 at 5:30 in the morning, having lived just 51/2 hours past her 79th birthday.

When a young girl the family moved to Monona Co. near Moorhead, where she resided until the last few years when she moved to the home of her daughter near Dunlap.

She was baptised into the Re-organized Latter Day Saints Church Sept. 16, 1878, when she was 13 years of age and remained firm to her convictions till the last.

Her request near the close of life was this: "Tell them, you tell them that my faith in the church was true to the last."

On Dec. 5th, 1888 she became the wife of Perry Mann, who departed this life Sept. 4th, 1930.

She was married to Amon McIntyre June 8, 1933 and was left a widow again when Mr. McIntyre passed away Oct. 12, 1939.

Mrs. McIntyre was a devoted church and community worker having served as Branch clerk and leader of the Women's Department of the Moorhead Branch for many years. She was an earnest Bible student and for many years acted as teacher for the adult class in the church school.

She leaves to mourn her departure, two children and their companions, Claude and Lora Mann and Atlai and Keith Gorham; six grand-children: four stepsons, Earl, Charles, Wayne, and Lloyd McIntyre and families; three sisters , Mary Lewis, Minnie Rawlings, Elsie Pellissier. Besides many other relatives and friends.

"Aunt Lou" as she was commonly known, not only by the many relatives, but by a host of freinds both old and young, was the fifth in number of a family of nine children, five of whom have preceeded her to death.

The funeral service was conducted at the Moorhead Latter Day Saints church Monday afternoon, Dec. 11. Elder Elvin Baughman was the speaker. Service in charge Elder B.W. Richardson. The song service was beautifully rendered by Earl Jones family and Mrs. Walter Johnson. Many lovely floral offerings were received. Six friends of the family, Messrs. John Adams, Joe Crews, Fred Parker, Chris Sanvold, Waite Weldon and Bert Mann acted as pallbearers. Besides those from Moorhead in attendance were relatives and friends from Omaha, Co. Bluffs, Dunlap, Sioux City and Turin. Interment was in the Spring Valley cemetary, there to await the resurrection of the lost.
