Seeking additional information on Morgan Davis, witness to marriage:

28 December 1896: Marriage to Anna Schulz in Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa

Osage, Mitchell, Iowa

State of Iowa
Mitchell County

I, Morgan Davis, aged 60 years, a resident of Osage, Iowa, being first duly sworn on my oat do depose and say… that I am personally acquainted with Miss Anna Schulz, now a resident of Kensett Township, Worth County, Iowa, and know her to be at the present time over the age of nineteen years and unmarried, and of sound mind, and that there are no legal impediments to her entering the marriage state: ____________________

I also further depose and say that I am personally acquainted with Mr. H. B. King and know him to be of sound mind and over the age of twenty-one years; that he is an unmarried man and there is no legal impediment to his entering the married state, as I am credibly informed and verily believe, and have reason to believe.

Be it remembered that on the 28th day of December, A.D. 1896, before the undersigned Galen F. Humbert, a Notary Public in and for the County and State, personally appeared Morgan Davis, to me personally known to be reputable and, entitled to credt, who brings by me first duly sworn according to law and swore to the truth of the foregoing statements, and he then subscribed his name thereto in my presence.
