Melvin Rucker Funeral Held Mona Lutheran

Funeral services for a former area man, Melvin L. Rucker, 53, of Lakeville, Minn., who died Sunday, January 2 at his home, were held Tuesday, January 4 at Mona Lutheran church with Rev. Dallas Blenkush, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church in Lakeville officiating and interment was in Enterprise cemetery south of Austin.

Melvin Louis Rucker, son of Louis and Amelia Rucker was born near Rochester on November 26, 1918.

On May 30, 1948, he was married to Mildred Kilgore of Mona and one daughter was born to this union.

Mr. Rucker was a member of Mona Lutheran church until they moved to Lakeville in 1969 when he transferred his membership to St. John's Lutheran in Lakeville. He was employed as a car salesman in Minneapolis at the time of his death.

Survivors are his wife, Mildred, one daughter, Pamela at home and one son, Melvin L. Jr. of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Viola) Powers, St. Paul, Mrs. Dale (Beverly) Cooper of Rochester; and three brothers: Arnold, Ralph and Louis, all of Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
