Glendon George Torney was born January 6, 1903 at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa to George Edward Torney and Myrtle Delphine Auringer, the first of their four children.

Found in the 1905 census living at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa.

Glendon married Mary Annis Buttolph on October 13, 1925 at New Hampton, Chickasaw, Iowa.

The couple had 3 sons:
Gaylord (b April 3, 1930, d March 31, 2003);
Ronald Lee (b September 11, 1936, d February 27, 1998) and
Gary James (b October 14, 1939, d November 16, 2010).

1925: Myrtle D Taney 41, Margaret N Auringer 73 (her mother), Glendon Torney 22, Enma Tomey 18.

1930: Glendon G Torney 27, Mary A Torney 22, Gaylord Torney 0.

1940: Glendon Torney 37, Mary Torney 32, Gaylord Torney 10, Roland Lee Torney 3, Gary James Torney 6 mos. Working as a trucker.

Glendon G Torney died July 1979 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa. He was buried at the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa.
