Dorothy G. Pelleymounter, age 96, of Osage, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with a rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a vigil service at 5:00 p.m.

Dorothy was born July 27, 1918, near Little Cedar, Iowa, the daughter of Isidor and Catherine (Salz) Weber. She graduated from high school at Mount Mercy Academy and from Mount Mercy College, both in Cedar Rapids.

On August 1, 1953, Dorothy married Richard P. Pelleymounter at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. They made their home in Osage, where Dorothy was an elementary teacher at Osage Community Schools for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Sacred Heart Guild. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, music, reading, gardening, sewing, and loved animals. She was a loving mother and a selfless individual. Delivering Meals on Wheels and sharing her cooking and baking items were just a few of the ways that she helped others.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Pelleymounter of Rockville, Maryland, Jean Pelleymounter of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, and Linda Pelleymounter of Rochester, Minnesota; her siblings, Vincent Weber of Osage, Arnold Weber of Napa Valley, California, Mildred (Jim) Rogers of Osage, Alice Kundo of Ogden, Utah, Jim (Barb) Weber of Osage, and Mary McIntyre of Osage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Pelleymounter in 2002; her siblings, Harold Weber, Jane Bostwick, Armella Gomez, and Roman Weber.
