Martha Kristine Nubson was born September 19, 1883 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Christopher Rustebakke Nubson and Marith Andersdatter Lindelien, the seventh of their ten children.

Martha was baptized on November 4, 1883 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Mr & Mrs Kristofer Goplerud; Kristofer Goplerud Jr and Olea Johnsen. She was confirmed at RCLC on June 18, 1899.

Martha married Carl Field on June 30, 1909 at Rock Creek Lutheran, Meroa, Iowa. The couple had no children.

Martha Field died December 2, 1970 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
