Albert Johnson was born April 6, 1872 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Gulbrand (Gilbert) Johnson and Karen (Carrie) Hansdatter, the oldest of their four children. His younger siblings were: Helene, Bernt and Karl.

Albert never married, nor had children.

Found in the 1880 & 1885 censuses living on his father's farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1880 - Gilbert Johnson 49, Carrie Johnson 35, John Johnson 19, Anton Johnson 16, Albert Johnson 7, Behrent Johnson 4, Carl Johnson 6m.

1885: Gilbert 55, Carrie Johnson 42, Albert Johnson 13, Ben Johnson 9, Carl Johnson 5, Andrew Johnson 22.

Albert Johnson died at the age of 18 on January 29, 1890 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
