Arthur Julius Johnson was born July 12, 1904 on a farm at Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa to John Gustav Johnson (1879-1953) and Clara Louise Schoger (1881-1908), the first of their two sons. His younger brother was Ingvald Bernard Johnson (1906-1970).

Arthur was confirmed at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on May 25, 1919.

(Living with his father and brother at his grandparents' as his mother had died 2 years earlier.)

1920: Jens Johansen 68, Ingeborg Johansen 67, John G Johansen 40, Alfred L Johansen 20, Matilda Johansen 24, Arthur Johansen 15. (Arthur was a grandson - John's son

Don't believe he ever married or had children.

Arthur J Johnson died April 29, 1988 at Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
