C. Anderson Dies at Rochester

Clarence Anderson, 52, died at St. Mary's Hospital at Rochester, Minnesota, Sunday, after he had apparently rallied. Doctor's believed he was decidedly improved, and his wife who had been with him constantly had gone to her to rest. Mr. Anderson had been at the hospital 13 days following an attack of heart disease.

Mr. Anderson had spent a number of years in this community, coming here from Algona. His wife is the former Thelma Trainer, whose parental home is in Indianola. They have been farming northwest of Riceville, five miles from LeRoy, Minnesota.

Surviving besides his wife are four children: Mrs. Richard Baulk, Algona; Wallace, Fenton, Cecil, of Perry, and Sharon, eight years of age.

Funeral service was Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the church in Britt. Burial was in the Algona Cemetery.

Clarence Anderson, Oak Dale Farmer, Died in Rochester

Clarence Anderson of Oak Dale, age 53, died in a Rochester hospital February 11. Mr. Anderson had been a patient at the hospital 13 days following a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Britt. Burial was in the Algona cemetery.

Mr. Anderson had spent a number of years in the Riceville and Oak Dale communities, previously making his home at Algona. He farmed northeast of Riceville, five miles from LeRoy. Mrs. Anderson is the former Thelma Trainer of Indianola.

Surviving the Oak Dale farmer are his widow, four children, Mrs. Richard Balk of Algona, Wallace, Fenton, Cecil, of Perry, and Sharon age 8.

NOTES:

His gravestone at East Lawn Cemetery, Algona, is inscribed "Clarence R. Anderson, May 24, 1898 - February 13, 1951"

There is a discrepancy in the date of death. The gravestone is inscribed February 13, but the obituary says February 11.
