OF ST. ANSGAR DIEDFuneral services for Mrs. William Ruebe, 72, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center on January 17, 1971, were held January 20, 1971, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. N. Betke officiating. Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery. Arrangements were by Schroeder and Houg.
Clara Minnie Louise Bolgrin Ruebe was born December 23, 1898, in London, Minnesota, the daughter of Franz and Louise (Adams) Bolgrin. She was baptized on January 13, 1899, by the Rev. Vassler of Myrtle, Minnesota.
At the age of 12 she moved with her parents to St. Ansgar where she attended the public and parochial schools. She was confirmed by Rev. Brammer at Immanuel Lutheran church on March 16, 1913. She remained a lifelong member of the church.
On January 20, 1918, she was married to William Ruebe of St. Ansgar, by Rev. Brammer. They lived on a farm west of Otranto for a number of years, after which they moved to a farm in Worth county where they made their home until September 1948, when they moved to St. Ansgar.
Mrs. Ruebe had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center here for the past three years.
She is survived by her husband, William; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Laura) Seath of Freeborn, Minnesota and Mrs. John (Selma) Wahl of Waterloo; and by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and by two sisters.
