Services for Knut Leraaen, 84, of 711 Gilbert St., will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel of Memories West with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Leraaen died Saturday night at Schoitz Medical Center.
He was born January 2, 1900, at Norway, son of Ole and Barbara Knutson Leraaen. He married Ella Yost on September 14, 1968, at Cedar Falls. He was employed at the John Deere Tractor Works for 19 years, retiring in 1965.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Myron of Charles City, Kenneth of Waverly, Richard of Waterloo arid Harold of Cascade, Wis.; two stepsons, Dale A. Yost of Bristow and Harvey M. Ackerman of Seattle, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Marjorie Force of Seattle and Jeanette Gahwiller of Shell Rock; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Gustav, Halvor and Henry, all of St. Ansgar.
Friends may call at the funeral home from. 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday.

NOTES:His parents were Ole Halvorson Leraaen and Barbara Hagen Leraaen. They came from Norway to St. Ansgar in 1901 where they remained the rest of their lives.
