GRAFTON, IOWA - Mildred Staff, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2013, at Windhaven Assisted Living, Cedar Falls.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 6, at Deer Creek Lutheran Church, rural Carpenter. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in Northwood, and one hour before the service on Monday. Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood.

Born December 15, 1926 in Mitchell County daughter of Nels A. Gordon & Hannah (Clayton) Gordon. She married Jean Staff on December 16, 1945 in Carpenter. He died October 30, 2007.

She graduated from Carpenter High School and was employed as the Postmaster in Grafton. She was a member of Deer Creek Lutheran Church in Carpenter.

Survived by two sons; Keith (Charlene) of Minnesota City, Minnesota, Glen(Judy) of Waverly, one daughter Lois Staff of Waterloo, two grandsons Jeremy and Brian Staff both of Minnesota City, and four great granddaughters Destiny, Julia, Kaitlyn and Azlyn. Her sister Sandy Moretz of Medford, Wisconsin.

Preceded in death by her husband, two sisters Helen and Doris.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
