Services were held for Oscar Skutle, uncle of Melvin and Selmer Sponheim of St. Ansgar. Rev. Olaf Langehough conducted the services.

Mr. Skutle was born in Rock township, Mitchell County, on March 20, 1883. He died December 18, 1948 in Edinburg, North Dakota. Burial was in the River View Cemetery at St. Ansgar.

Surviving relatives in this vicinity are two sisters, Mrs. H.E. Eiel of Northwood, and Millie Skutle of Lake Mills, a brother, David, of Lake Mills, and four nephews, Melvin Sponheim, Selmer Sponheim, Drs. N. and Jo. Eiel of Osage.
