Funeral services for a native of Osage, Cora Brager Almgren, 90, who died January 22, 1981, in Minneapolis, were held at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage, January 26, 1981. Rev. J. Nesheim, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, was in charge of the rites, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery.

Cora Brager was born in Osage, Iowa, on February 1, 1890, the daughter of G.O. and Carrie Docken Brager. She grew to womanhood in Osage and was graduated from the local school.

Survivors include two nephews, Harold Brager of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, and Ralph Brager of Minneapolis.

Cora (Kora) Elina Brager was born February 1, 1890 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa, to parents Guud Olsen Brager and Karine Docken. She was baptized March 1890 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Anders Olsen, Antonette Docken and Julian Schoger. Cora had two older brothers, Oswald and Albert (Allert).

Cora married William H. Almgren on April 12, 1911 at Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Cora died January 1981 at Minneapolis, Minnesota and was buried at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.

Cora can be found in the 1895 through 1915 censuses living at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa:

1895: 5 years old.

1900: Gerral O Brager 54, Karin Brager 35, Oswald Brager 23, Albert Brager 19, Cora Brager 10.

1910: George H Brager 63, Carrie Brager 45, Cora Brager 20.

1915: Cora Almgren age 25. Says married and a Lutheran.

Next found in the 1920 census living at Minneapolis, Minnesota: William H. Almgren 34, barber; Cora G. Almgren 31.

Cora moved back to Osage, Iowa as she appears in the 1930 census there: Carrie O. Brager 65, Cora G. Almgren 40; says she is married but husband not listed; She is living with her mother.
