Ole Iverson Aspeholt was born February 22, 1834 at the Aspeholt farm, Hedalen, Norway. He married Guri Johannesdatter Fosholdt on June 2, 1861 at Hedalen, Norway. The couple had two children: Johann (born March 11, 1862) and Gunhild (Julia) born October 22, 1863).
The couple left Norway to emigrate to America with their two children leaving Liverpool, England and boarding the ship "North American". They arrived at Portland, Maine on April 26, 1867 and traveled west to Wisconsin or Iowa.
Ole Iverson Aspeholt sometimes used the surname Fekjaer. He was a farmer. Ole bought land in Rock Township, Mitchell, Iowa and began farming. Ole and his wife Guri had a third child, Iver Olsen Aspeholt (born October 5, 1869 Rock, Mitchell, Iowa).
Ole died at the age of 38 on June 15, 1872 at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa. and is buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. His burial record was found in the Reverand C. L. Clausen's notes entitled "Early Burials at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, which is on record at the First Lutheran Church in St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa.
