Mrs. Assor Knutson, whose illness we noted last week, died Wednesday night and was buried Friday. We are not in the possession of any biographical notes of the deceased, consequently we are unable to give an extended notice of her past life.

She has been a resident of St. Ansgar township since 1853, and was at the time of her demise seventy-seven years of age.

Christie Knudsdatter Handegard was born 1812 at Hordaland, Norway.

She married Assor Knudsen 1840 at Hordaland, Norway. The couple had one son, Knud Knudsen Assorsen (born September 1841 Hordaland, Norway).
The family of three emigrated in 1852 to Wisconsin and a year later moved to Iowa.
