Jacob Asleson died at his late residence one mile north of this place last Saturday, at the ripe old age of 75 years. He came to this township over thirty years ago and continued his residence here until the time of his death. During the past few years his health has been rather poor and at different times it was believed that his earthly pilgrimage would soon be over.

Deceased was an earnest christian and was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran Church. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon and was largely attended.
