EUGENE PRIEMCarpenter – Funeral services for Eugene Priem, 37, Minneapolis, have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Deer Creek Lutheran Church here. He died Monday in Minneapolis.
Surviving are his wife, Pat; a daughter, Connie; a sister; Mrs. Vern Tenold, Cedar Falls; and a grandmother; Mrs. Ina Culbertson, Carpenter.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Priem preceded him in death.

Eugene Norman Priem was born on May 15, 1926 to Lincoln and Ina Priem in Carpenter, Iowa.Baptized and confirmed in the Deer Creek Lutheran Church by Rev. Olaf Langehough. Eugene continued his membership there until transfering to the Galilee Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Mn. November 1961.
He attended both grade and high school in Carpenter, where he was active in basketball and baseball. Drafted into the Army Air Corps in July 1944, he served in both the American and European Theaters until his discharge in June 1946. When he returned to Carpenter, Eugene went into business with his father in the L.N. Priem Lumber Co., where he remained until January 1959.
He was married to Patricia Johnsrud on September 13, 1952, at Estherville by the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker, and to this union one child, Connie, was born. Eugene and his family made their home in Carpenter until March 1959 moving then to Austin, Minnesota. and later to St. Paul, Minnesota, where he lived until his death on July 29, 1963.
He was a member of the Ogden Nelson Post of the American Legion at Carpenter, the Veterans of Foreign Wars in both Mason City and St. Paul, Mn. and the Carpenter Sportsman Club.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and daughter, Connie, of St. Paul, Minnesota, one sister, Geraldine (Mrs. Vern) Tenold of Waterloo, Iowa, and grandmother, Sina (Mrs. Charles) Culbertson of Carpenter. He also leaves to mourn many other friends and relatives.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Lincoln and Ina Priem.
Burial was in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
