(NOTE: Ingeborg was born 1st December 1827 in NORDERHOV, Buskerud county, Norway.
(The area is called Ringerike)

Her parents were: Narve Christophersen Hjelmerud and his wife Anne Olsdatter. Hjelmerud is the name of the farm. (Source: Parish records for Norderhov)

Ingeborg N. Hjelmrud, born December 1, 1827, Nerderehooed Presing Ringerike Norway. Died December 26, 1898, aged 71 years and 26 days. Her younger years were mostly spent at her birth place with the exception of a few years spent in Christina, Norway. In the spring of 1856 she emigrated with her brother, Christopher, to Calmar, Winneshiek County, Iowa. Was married to her surviving husband, Iver Nelson, September 27th, 1856, at Calmar, Iowa. Settled then on a farm one mile north of Calmar and lived there for about 11 years. In 1867 the family moved and located on the farm two miles south of St. Ansgar. In the fall of 1889 the aged couple moved to the city of St. Ansgar to make life more comfortable in their old age. Eight children blessed this union, seven of whom survived her.

Rev. Olsen delivered a very impressive sermon over the remains. Subject, Rev. 14:18.
