NELLIE VOLBRECHT

Riceville – Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Volbrecht, 80, will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church here. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

A former hospital operator here many years, she died Sunday at an Iowa City hospital.

Surviving are five daughters: Mrs. Joe (Evelyn) Murphy, Riceville; Mrs. Francis (Vivian) Bush and Mrs. Charlotte Lewis, both of Manchester; Mrs. Donald (Agnes) Engelhardt, Ridgeway; Mrs. A. M. (Josephine) Morris, Aitkin, Minnnesota; and a son, Robert, New York.

Nellie (Seavy) Volbrecht was born January 31, 1884 in Riceville, the daughter of Rufus Seavy Jr. and Irene (Reynolds) Seavy. She married Julius Henry Volbrecht, the son of Fred and Caroline (Helwig) Volbrecht.
