L. W. BURNS DIES AT 70; RITES FRIDAY
Rockford – Lewis Warren Burns, 70, died Tuesday at a Nora Springs nursing home.

Born in Humboldt, May 18, 1890, he had lived here 17 years. He was a grocer.

Surviving are his wife, five children; John and Charles, Rockford; Illeen Tift, Nora Springs; Leita Wucher, Norfolk, Va.; Shirley Gruis, Klemme; his mother, Mrs. Effie Burns, Mason City; a sister and a brother.

Funeral services will be Friday at the Lutheran Church here at 2 p.m. The Rev. J. G. Brinkman will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with military and Masonic rites at the grave. Weaver Funeral Home is in charge.

L. W. BURNS RITES SET FOR THURSDAY

Rockford – Funeral services for Lewis Warren Burns, 70, have been changed to Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church.
It was originally announced for Friday. Mr. Burns died Tuesday at the Nora Springs nursing home.

Lewis Warren Burns was the son of Lewis and Effie (Ellis) Burns. He married Helen Paul, the daughter of John and Hattie (Smith) Paul.
