Death of Raymond Chase

Friends in Osage were grieved to learn of the death of Raymond Chase which occurred at his home in Chicago, last Thursday. He had been in poor health for over a year due to a nervous break down. Every effort had been made to restore him to health, but all in vain.

Raymond Chase was a son of Dr. Frank Chase of Des Moines, and a grandson of the beloved Dr. S. B. Chase a pioneer and founder of Osage. Mr. Chase won considerable fame a few years ago by his able interpretation of the character "Bud Hicks" in George Ade's "College Widow." After leaving the stage he took up automobile work and continued in that for about a year but was obliged to give it up on account of his health. He was thirty-two years of age and married. His wife survives him. The funeral services were held in Des Moines at the home of his parents.
