RICEVILLE, IOWA — Glendon W. Bundy, 82, of Riceville, died Wednesday (Jan. 12, 2005) at Riceville Community Rest Home.

Funeral service will be held for Glendon W. Bundy at 2 p.m. Sunday at McIntire United Methodist Church in McIntire, with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Cemetery in McIntire.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy, Minn., and one hour prior to services on Sunday at the church.

Glendon Wayne Bundy was born on Feb. 17, 1922, in Chester Township, Howard County, Iowa, to Glendon William and Ruth Luella (Staley) Bundy. He was a dairy farmer in the Oakdale and Wayne townships all of his life. He was a World War II veteran and served four years overseas.

Glendon married Dorothy Boehmer on Nov. 4, 1946, in Alta Vista, Iowa. She died on April 26, 1995.

He later married Dorothy (Enfield) Bergan on Oct. 16, 1999 at Riceville United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, and playing cards. He loved to dance and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Glendon is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Riceville; seven children, Glenda (Ron) Thompson, of Byron, Minn., Linda (Eldon) Funte, of Clarion, Harvey (Pat) Bundy, of McIntire, Wanda (Tony) Lilly, of Stewartville, Minn., Louise (Dick) Winfield, of LeRoy, Minn., Brenda (Ed) Booth, of Mason City, and Kathy Valasek, of Riceville; two stepsons, Doug (Linda) Bergan, of Lanesboro, Minn., and Stan (Sharon) Bergan, of LeRoy, Minn.; stepdaughter, Diane Lukavsky, of Chariton; 21 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grand-children; four stepgreat-grandchildren; sister, Katherine (Dale) Stupp, of Independence; two half brothers, Terry Bundy and Bill Bundy, both of Hazelton, Iowa; and a half sister, Carolyn (Harold) Wayson, of Hazelton, Iowa.

His parents and first wife preceded him in death.
