MRS. POWERS FUNERAL HELD

Osage, Dec. 17 – The funeral services for Mrs. A. Powers, who died Wednesday forenoon, were held Friday afternoon at the Champion Funeral home with the Rev. J. D. Kern officiating.

A sister, Mrs. Jennie Savage, of Luverne, Minnesota; and a brother-in-law, F. J. Powers, of Charles City came for the funeral.

Etta Drew was the wife of Alvin Powers 1839-1906. According to the 1900 US Census, she was born May 1845 in New York. According to the 1925 Iowa Census, she was the daughter of C. C. Drew and Sarah (McPherson) Drew.
She had 5 surviving daughters at the time of her death; Elda, Tina, Jennie, Edith and Pearl and one son Robert.
