WATERLOO, IOWA — Phyllis M. Retterath, 66, of Waterloo, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at Allen Hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Waterloo, with a 2 p.m. graveside service at Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue one hour before services at the church.
Memorials may be directed to BVL (Bowler’s to Veterans Link) or Cedar Valley Hospice.

#2:WATERLOO - Phyllis M. Retterath, 66, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at Allen Hospital.
She was born July 3, 1939, in Blooming Prairie, Minn., daughter of Joseph and Effie Buringa Retterath.
She was employed at Iowa Electric Motors, John Deere and Janda Electric Motor Services.
She was sergeant of arms for the Waterloo Metro Womens Bowling Association, an avid sports card collector, and enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping. She also loved her two cats, Kia and Smokie Joe.
Survived by her friend and caregiver, Connie Rommel of Waterloo; a caregiver, Deanne Murray of Denver; five sisters, Rosann (Clayton) Meyer of Austin, Minn., Beverly (Del) Theobald of Stacyville, Dorothy (Alden) Crooks of Rudd, Mary (Kenneth) Crooks of Charles City and Martha Hoevet of Stacyville; three brothers, Jim (Jan) Retterath of Austin, Joe (Lynda) Retterath of Eagan, Minn., and Gene (Cindy) Retterath of Grafton; many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, great-great-nephews and nieces, and friends Ethyl Rommel of Readlyn, Bob and Judy Lehmkuhl of Cedar Rapids and Mary Jo and Dennis Juel of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Michael and John.
