died Thursday

Charles J. Biedermann, 86, of Osage died July 18, [1980] while attending a senior citizens dance. Services were held Monday afternoon at the United Church of Christ, Osage, with the Reverend Jack Cahill officiating. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery with Masonic rites by Osage Lodge No. 102 AF and AM. Arrangements were made by Champion and Sons.

Charles John Biedermann was born January 10, 1894, at Grafton, the son of Henry J. and Alma Glassel Biedermann. He attended the Cedar Valley Seminary in Osage, Cornell College at Mount Vernon, and completed the law preparatory course at the University of Iowa. While at the University of Iowa he was captain of the 1919 wrestling team, and a Big Ten conference champion.

Olene Moen and Charles Biedermann were married in June, 1935. She died in 1941.

Charles Biedermann was married to Dorothy Runkle in February, 1949. She died in May, 1976.

Mr. Biedermann was a member of the United Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge and Shrine. Before retirement he was a livestock and grain farmer near St. Ansgar. After retirement he and his wife traveled worldwide until her death. He was a past president of the Osage Senior Citizens and was a delegate to the district Area Agency on Aging advisory council.

Survivors include one daughter Mary, Mrs. William G. Cook of Rochester; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one brother, Clarence E. Biederman of Osage; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Turnbull and Mrs. Florence Ellingwood of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Mabel Biedermann of Osage; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his wives; his parents; one brother, William H. Biedermann; and one sister, Bertha Rall.
