MARGARET HALFMAN

SUBLIMITY, OREGON – Margaret Halfman, 78, died Friday at a Silverton nursing home. She was born at Stacyville, Mitchell Co., Iowa, and came to Sublimity 46 years ago.

Survivors include daughters; Mrs. Leona Scharbach of Sublimity; Mrs. Dorothy Doerfler of Aumsville; Mrs. Vera Fischer of Olympia, Washington; Mrs. Asella Locke of Grand Ronde; son, Harold of Salem; 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services are pending at Weddle Mortuary in Stayton.

Margaret Rose Meyer was born October 5, 1886 in Stacyville, Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of John August Meyer and Anna Mary (Thome) Meyer. She married John Gregory Halfman, the son of Chrysanthus and Eva (Sontag) Halfman.

Margaret was buried in the Saint Bonificace Catholic Cemetery in Sublimity, Marion Co., Oregon.
