FORMER NORTH IOWAN DIES IN WASHINGTON

Osage – Ray Morris, 56, formerly of Osage and Mason City, died following a major operation February 13th at the Memorial Hospital at Sedro- Wooley, Skagit County, Washington.

He was born at McIntire, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Morris. He moved with the family to Brownville and attended school there. He married Marjory Douglas, Osage, and the couple lived in Osage for some time. They moved to Mason City and in October, 1942, left for Concrete, Washington, where he was employed in defense work.

Surviving is his wife, Marjory Douglas Morris, Concrete, Wash., one daughter; Mrs. Clifford Gilbert, San Pedro, California; one son Cpl. Donald Morris, paratrooper in training at
Ft. Benning, Georgia; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

HOLD RITES SATURDAY FOR FORMER OSAGE MAN

Osage – Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Champion funeral home for Ray Morris, 56, who died at Sedro-Wooley, Wash., Monday, following a major operation.

In charge of the service will be the Rev. Glen Hartong, with burial in the Osage Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, a son, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
