William Hiner passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Victor Jorgenson, Sunday evening, following an illness extending over a number of weeks. His trouble has been Bright's Disease, and complications, although he was not forced to give up his work until a couple of months ago.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Jorgenson home, and burial made in the local cemetery.

William Hiner was born in Appanoose County, Iowa, August 23, 1859. He was one of a family of three boys; Dave, who has made his home with him since the death of his parents when he was a young man and Andrew, who resides at Bloomfield, Iowa.

He was married to Lily Ware August 23, 1885. To this union eleven children were born, all of whom are living in the vicinity: Jim, Joe and Mrs. Victor Jorgenson, of Osage; Mrs. Enoch Steelman, of Little Cedar; Mrs. Ray Wilcox, Lee, Merrell and John, of St. Ansgar; and Grover, Cecil and Otto, at home.

Mr. Hiner spent the greater part of his life in Appanoose and Davis Counties. Seven years ago he and his family moved to Mitchell County.

He seemed well until about three months ago when he was taken sick and gradually grew worse and about seven weeks ago he was taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Victor Jorgenson. He was given all the care that loving hands could give him, but the Grim Reaper knocked at the door and he passed away Sunday evening, March 23, at 11 o'clock, from complications following Bright's disease.

He was a good father and husband. He leaves to mourn his loss, a loving wife, eleven children, four grandchildren, two brothers and a host of other relatives and friends.
