HOLD RITES SUNDAY FOR OSAGE SALESMAN
OSAGE, IOWA – Shirley Teegardin, 62, salesman for the Davidson Gas and Electric, will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Congregational church, with Masonic rites at the church and the cemetery. He died of coronary thrombosis after a short illness at his home Friday.
Mr. Teegardin was past master, past high priest and past commander of the local Masonic Lodge and past commander of the Knights Templar. He was a former member of the Osage Lions club.
Survivors include the widow and a son Paul of Boone. Mr. Teegardin had been a resident of Osage since 1920, once being a partner of Henry Gardner and Clint Palmer in the Osage Meat company.

#2:Shirley Garwood Teegardin was born June 18, 1888 in Pleasant Lake, Steuben Co., Indiana; according to the June 5, 1917 WORLD WAR I Draft Registration. He was the son of Elisha J and Sarah E. Teegardin (1900 US Census: Steuben, Steuben, Indiana).
He married Mary W (Smith) Teegardin, the daughter of William and Hattie Smith (1925 Iowa Census, married in Michigan).
