OSAGE WOMAN DIES; FUNERAL SATYURDAY

OSAGE, IOWA – Funeral services for Mrs. Paul Hvattum, 79, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran church, the Rev. T. P. Solem officiating. Burial in the Osage cemetery.

She died Thursday evening at her home in Osage after being a semi-invalid for several months.

Born at Hadeland, Norway, on September 5, 1872, as Sophia Amundrud, she came to Canton, South Dakota, with an uncle when she was 22 years old. She was married in July 1908; their first home being the Hvattum farm west of Osage. In 1919 they moved to Osage where her husband died in 1944.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jurgen Tebben, Osage, 3 grandchildren and a brother in Norway.
